Privacy Policy
Template text — have a qualified lawyer review before going live.
This policy explains what personal data Phone Locator processes, why, and the rights you have under the GDPR.
Data we collect
Account data (email, first name), billing data processed by our payment provider, the mobile numbers you submit for location, and — only where the holder consents — a one-time GPS position with its accuracy.
How we use it
To provide the service, send consent requests by SMS, display results in your space, process payments, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Consent of the located person
A position is only recorded after the holder of the number opens our SMS link and explicitly approves. They can decline, and no location is captured. Captured positions are shown only to the requesting account.
Processors
We rely on Stripe for payments and Twilio for SMS delivery. Data is hosted within the EU. Each processor acts under a data-processing agreement.
Retention
Location results are retained while your account is active and deleted on request or when no longer needed. Billing records are kept as required by law.
Your rights
You may access, correct, export, or delete your data, and object to or restrict processing. Contact us to exercise these rights or to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
